This Moment of Relaxation


Throughout this short exercise, where I listened to a few moments of a relaxation exercise; the main focus was to allow the body to relax through the mind.  By doing so, we learn that our minds control our entire body.  Using the power of our minds, we can combat stress, fatigue, etc.  I followed the voice throughout the entire session but only felt relaxed and refreshed.  I did not feel the heaviness in my arms, fingertips as described.  I think, with frequent practice and total body relaxation the arms and body will feel the heaviness the voice is describing.  This is just a typical demonstration to show us all about the “mind-body connection,” and how they can work to optimize our health and wellness.

  1. Ed,
    I thought the exercise was relaxing also. Just has he was saying to imagine the blood flowing to your arms, I was thinking how weird it was that my hands felt warm all the sudden. I didn't feel them being too heavy though. It is amazing that the mind is that powerful towards the body.
