Mental Fitness Practices

The loving-kindness exercise was less demanding to do in light of the fact that you were focusing on considerations of love ones and of ones who hurt you.  The subtle mind exercise was a little harder because of needing to clear your thoughts and attempt to be in silence. This exercise might be less demanding for me to do when getting prepared for bed, on the grounds that this is the thing that I really attempt to do so as to have a well-rested night.  The subtle mind is an exercise to relinquish thought as it passes through the mind.  As portrayed in the content, the mind is a sea with waves of thought on the surface.  As we have the capacity to dive deeper into our minds the water gets to be calmer and we get less moved by the perpetual exhibit of thought.

Spiritual wellness to me is the magic that binds everything.  I nearly envision your spirit as the cup that holds mental and physical capacities.  If your glass is small you get overpowered simply.  Also if your cup is broken things leak out.  I accept this is the reason we must exhaust our cup consistently before we start a reflection exercise.  By doing so, we are permitting our spirit to acquire new comprehension information and knowledge.

“You are what you  are because of what goes into your mind”. Zig Ziglar.

  1. Hi Edmond,

Great post on the differences between the subtle mind and the loving kindess exercises. I agree that spiritual wellness is the key to a better mental outlook and hence a better way of life experience for an individual. I think it is the last piece of the trio to better overall wellness and progression; the mind, the body and the spirit.

    Great post,

  3. Edmond,
I agree that spiritual wellness binds everything together. I love how you said it. The cup was a great example. I'll have to remember that when I am trying to relax and clear my mind.

  4. It can be very difficult to clear your thoughts, with plenty of practice you will notice it happens naturally and with ease.
