My Reflections:
In my
opinion, rating my physical well-being would be a 9. For this reason, I am healthy, a strong
advocate for standing up for what is right, physically active, confident and
never let anything or anyone distress me.
I furthermore, keep a PMA – Positive Mental Attitude!
For my
Spiritual well-being, I would assume a 7.
This is because consciousness has been always the driving force that
continuously guides me every step of the way.
It keeps me motivated, energized and humble. I believe that the development of my inner
life is very important to my health and wellness.
In psychological well-being, I would give
myself a 7. Growing up had been
challenging for me, I learned how to get along, converse, etc. and learned how
to cope with challenges that arise now than before. I live life like there is no end, some would
say like there is no tomorrow!
There isn’t much to change about my physical
well-being, but I would always go to the extreme to get the job done, though I would
like to practice yoga and other meditating exercises, for example, tai chi.
For spiritual well-being, I am interested in
getting an accurate idea in spiritual activities that require self-improvement;
for example, guided meditation, visualization, guided imagery, and so on. Psychological well-being, I am curious to develop the capacity to step back, and allow my mind and its thoughts, feelings, etc. instead than automatically reacting to them. This I know will help me go further with my health and life over all.
Relaxation Exercise:
The
relaxation exercise was outstanding.
Visualizing the rainbow colors helped me stay focused and
attentive. The rainbow colors the speaker
reiterated reminded me of a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables arranged on
a platter in the center of a large dining table. I also learned that each color that shun from
a beam of light on a particular area of the body was of great
significance. I have decided to repeat
this exercise a few more times due to the fact I found it to be quite
beneficial to me or anyone who is interested in total relaxation. This, I think is another powerful exercise to
demonstrate to us all the “mind-body connection” and how they both work to
optimize our health and wellness in order to achieve integral health.
“Remember” The Sun never
sets; it’s Man who moves away from The Light.
HI Edmond,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the post and how you rated yourself and the reasoning behind each score. It looks like your life is definitely on the right path to overall wellness. It is good to see that you are so devoted to making your life better by understanding and working towards goals in each facet of your life.
Great post.

I found the relaxation mp3 to be very helpful. Whether you are just starting out or have been meditating for a very long time, this is a great one to use. I am not a fan of guided meditations but I will use this one again when I am in a crunch and need to relax I will use this one again.
ReplyDeleteHello Edmond,
ReplyDeleteYour post was very interesting to read, and I agree that our mind and consciousness leads us in either the right or wrong direction. If we are positive and try to get the best out of life, we will be surprised at what all we can accomplish. This helps our body be in a well-being state because we can choose to be content and happy with what we have in life. Negative emotions, stress, and hopelessness can play a huge role in our physical health, so it is best to rule out all these feelings when possible. Great post and I look forward to reading more!
